Tourism Ideas

There's always just walking through Bellagio and seeing the Chihuly Lobby Ceiling and ;the Conservation Display -- all of which are magnificent.

A must if you like magnificent, world class beauty: red rocks and blue sky. Make a reservation at our Red Rock Canyon Conservation Lands. Easy or more ambitious walk. Worth driving through this 13 mile one way loop. The first and second stops right after the Visitor Center are magnificent. Not to be missed if at all possible.

No reservation required at Calico Basin. Just before Red Rock on the loop that begins from the Charleston exit on the 215 is Calico Canyon with walking distance slot canyon from the turn off. You'll see other cars and you can ask the direction.

Valley of Fire is an hour away but the visitor center will guide you to the nearby Mouse Trap, a short trail, to see indigenous rock carving:

We now have a Fossil Museum which is on the other side of the city from Green Valley but sort of on the way to Valley of Fire.

Las Vegas PinBall Museum which is right by the Las Vegas famous sign and a cheap whole lot of fun.

Aria Art Walk -- pick up the self-guided brochure from the Aria Concierge and high tea in the adjacent Waldorf Astoria.

Fremont Street Experience (@ Fremont St & Maine) is the original downtown area with the Container Park east on Fremont Street which is interesting but lower on my suggestion list.

Of course see Hoover Dam which you might be able to do on your way in on a self-guided tour.

There's likely still skiing and snow boarding now at Lee Canyon Ski Lodge.  Everything is online (no phone customer service).

Also  Spring Mountain Visitor Center is one exit closer to Vegas.
