Southwest airlines offers free cancellations and up to 2 free checked bags for your flight. Southwest flies into Burbank, LAX, and Long Beach. Recommended times to arrive on Thursday or Friday are 9am - 11:30am.
Travel to UWest on Friday night from Burbank, LAX, and Long Beach will have heavy traffic; Friday morning from LAX, Burbank, and Long Beach should have low(er) traffic - 9:30am-11:30am. Arriving around times of traffic is not advised. For Saturday travel, arriving between 8am-11am is advised, traffic picks up around 11:30am-1pm, but is significantly lower on the weekends. Uber may be able to reduce the cost of renting a car. Onsite Registration Rates:
Online registration will close March 16, 2017 after which time attendees may register onsite at the conference for an additional fee of $10.00 (noted in rates shown above).
REGISTRATION and MEMBERSHIP:
All presenters and attendees must register for the conference.
You do not need to be an American Academy of Religion (AAR) member in order to attend the AAR/WR Annual Conference.
However, panelists and unit chairs must be or become AAR members in order to present.
